Since 1986, KH has served more than 200 clients in 24 states in the United States and 9 countries (Australia, Canada, France, Saudi Arabia, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Singapore). Her clients include Los Angeles City, Los Angeles County, Orange County, Pasadena City, Los Angeles World Airport/LAX, Port of Long Beach, SAG-AFTRA, Los Angeles Community College District, California State University System, and Telstra Enterprise & Government-Australia. Gayla is also an Adjunct Professor at USC’s Sol Price School of Public Policy.
I am lucky and honored to include her and so many amazing women among my friends! And it is long overdue that I am only now giving some of them a shoutout here on my blog. Like Damona Hoffman, who was also featured here in a post, Gayla and I are Northwestern University alumni. In her “spare time,” she is a prolific screenwriter and producer. Through her production company Gayla Film, she’s worked with notable talents including Clancy Brown (Shawshank Redemption) and Mel Rodriguez (Better Call Saul). She uses this platform to create award-winning screenplays of everyday, ordinary, multicultural and multidimensional characters facing extraordinary challenges.
KH’s services include strategy and organization, people (work culture, DEI, coaching), and social and community impact…. All with the goal of “achieving big things with our clients for a better world.” Their industry focus is government, transportation, education, and the private sector.
Los Angeles County retained Gayla to serve as the Executive Director of the 2021 Citizens Redistricting Commission, where private citizens (not politicians) redrew the supervisorial districts for 10 million residents to avoid gerrymandering.
