Workers 24 years old and younger are significantly UNDRER represented in skilled trades. Boomers represent a disproportionately high percent of workers in skill trades and jobs requiring apprenticeships. And more than 50 – 77% of employers say they experience ongoing difficulties finding skilled trade workers. With approaching retirement “cliffs” shortages will only get worse.
