I want to share a SUPER great Charles Schwab customer service experience with Eric of Schwab Brokerage. What does Charles Schwab, CAREBOX™, @christinecuravo and new music Your Mother Said by Khemet McConville streaming on Spotify have to do with my stellar Charles Schwab customer service experience.?
Last week I called customer service and was transferred to Eric. He was funny, asked great questions and was a patient sounding board answering all my questions. As we talked we had a few laughs and I chatted about my son and the music industry. As we were talking I didn’t realize Eric was looking my son’s new release up on Spotify. And he said, “I love learning more about our clients and what’s going on in their lives.” My issue resolved we said our goodbyes.
This was very near my birthday so when a package arrived I assumed it was from my son or daughter. It was an amazing lavender scented weighted neck pillow…. I asked them both… they said nope. I checked closer and discovered it was from Charles Schwab via Christine Curavo’s carebox.com. It included a lovely note from Eric and Charles Schwab wishing my son all the best in his music career. It made my day. and the neck pillow is the gift I didn’t know I needed. I have used it just about every day.
I am a marketing person. Have been for many years. And for years customer centric service and relationship marketing have been cornerstones. In recent years I’ve been on a bandwagon that so many team members and so many companies not only “don’t get it,” they most certainly are not delivering. My Charles Schwab Carebox experience gives me hope that caring about providing an authentic quality customer experience is on a comeback. And I am also heartened by Charles Schwab’s support of a small business. To me it is impressive they did not choose to turn to mega online retailers like Walmart and Amazon who are literally decimating entrepreneurs and small retailers.
And here’s my gift in return… a tribute to mothers. https://youtu.be/_ZaeD4yVqaI?si=sy57Je-XeflXaPi_
