When she was 8 years old Persy Arcement, from Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, says bored and isolated. She decided to occupy herself by creating a board game around one of her favorite things…. ice cream. The theme of the game is decorating ice cream cones with topping using dice with a combination of luck and strategy. Fast forward to this month, with the help of her Dad and others 3,000 units of Persy’s game, “Drizzle,” were professionally produced.
And this month Persy, now 14, was just awarded People Of Play’s (POP – formerly the Chicago Toy Game Group), 2025 TAGIE Award as “Young Inventor Of The Year.” And she’s been featured in The Wall Street Journal. The game is being sold in 20 stores in New Jersey and online through Etsy as well. The family is currently handling shipping and distribution from their garage. They are looking for a marketing and distribution partnership. They have had meetings with game publishers and major to companies including Hasbro..
